Girls Golf off to Fast Start
The Thunderbird girls golf team started off the season with a 1st place finish at the Syracuse Inv. The top 3 team scores were JCC 430, Tri-County 442, Lincoln Lutheran 453. The individual scores were Kaci Wolken 96 3rd, Lindsey Badertscher 108 8th, Whitney Pfister 112 14th, Michelle Fritsch 114, Rachel Kettelhake 120.
The Tri-County Inv saw the Thunderbirds finish behind Norris 398, Tri-County 420, Beatrice JV 429, JCC 451, Pius X JV 451. The individual scores were Lindsey 110, Michelle 113, Rachel 114, Whitney 114, and Jamie Scott 120. This was a strong showing on a difficult course for JCC in the past. Jamie Scott did a good job for her first meet filling the One spot.
The HTRS duel allowed the team to test the depth of the team. JCC defeated HTRS 229-265. Individual scores Jamie 53, Rachel 54, Michelle 57, Katie Farrell 65 and Katie Hupka 71.
The Bennington Inv. and the JCC inv are next up for the team as they hope to continue to get themselves ready for the District meet.
